AEC-Q101 Qualified TVS Array for Common High-Speed Data Line Protection
PAM251005 Press Release
The New Steering Diode / TVS Array Targets HDMI and USB Data Lines for Circuit Protection in Automotive Subsystems
ProTek Devices today unveiled a new steering diode / transient voltage suppressor array (TVS array) for circuit protection in high-speed interface applications that include HDMI and USB 2.0 and USB 3.X. Being AEC-Q101 qualified, the new TVS array is ideal for automotive subsystems that use such high speed data interfaces.

The PAM251005 boasts ultra-low capacitance of 0.3pF, typical (I/O to I/O) and protects up to four lines. It has 100 watts peak pulse power per line, typical for 8/20 microseconds and is compatible with many IEC standards. These standards include 61000-4-2 (ESD): air – 15kV, contact – 8kV; and 61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A – 5/50ns; and finally with 61000-4-5 (lightning): 3.5A – 8/20 microseconds. The new TVS array is also RoHS compliant.
Mechanical Characteristics
This new TVS array, the PAM251005, is offered in a molded JEDEC DFN-10 package with an approximate weight of only seven milligrams. It has a lead finish that is lead-free and a solder reflow temperature (pure-tin – Sn, 100) of 260-270 degrees Celsius. The flammability rating is UL 94V-0. This component is made available on 8mm tape and reel, per EIA Standard 481, in quantities from 3,000.
