AEC Qualified TVS Array for Automotive Data Interfaces
PAM41TKDF2L0521 Press Release
The New TVS Array is Suited for Circuit Protection Against ESD and EFT in Wireless, USB, and HDMI
ProTek Devices has introduced an ultra-low capacitance – 0.25 pF (typical) – transient voltage suppressor array that is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive circuit protection in wireless communications, USB 1.0 and 2.0 and 3.0, and in HDMI 1.4 and 2.0 interfaces. The PAM41TKDF2L0521 is well-suited to protect against damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT).

The new TVS array features 100 watts peak pulse power per line (typical = 8/20 microseconds) and a low clamping voltage, while protecting one bidirectional line. At higher operating frequencies or faster edge rates, insertion loss and signal integrity are a major concern. The PAM41TKDF2L0521 offering an ultra-low capacitance and low leakage current mitigates this concern.
It is also RoHS compliant and a halogen- free device. In addition, it meets or exceeds IEC standards 61000-4-2 (ESD): air plus or minus 30kV, contact plus or minus 20kV; with 61000-4-4 (EFT); and with 61000-4-5 (surge).
Mechanical Characteristics
The PAM41TKDF2L0521 is provided in a molded DFN-2-0402 package with an approximate weight of only one milligram. It has lead-free plating. The solder reflow temperature is Sn, 100: 260-265 degrees Celsius, pure tin. It has a flammability rating of UL 94V-0. The TVS array is offered on 8mm tape and reel, per EIA standard 481 in quantities from 10,000.
